Azerbaijan records growth of bank customers by 750,000

Compared with the end of last April, an increase in the number of bank customers was recorded in Azerbaijan, banks.az reports, referring to the Central Bank.

Thus, this year, the quantity of bank customers increased by 5.8% or by 746,000 customers up to 13,630,000 customers.

But compared with the previous month, there is decrease of 0.5%, that is, by 70,401 people.

13.49 million customers are individuals, including 658,000 persons engaged in entrepreneurship, and 140,000 are legal entities.

The number of individuals in percentage terms grew by 5.7% year-on-year, decreased by 0.5% month-on-month, increased by 732,000 people year-on-year, decreased by 69,000 people month-on-month. Of them, those who are engaged in entrepreneurship have an increase of 19.6% in annual terms and 0.2% per month in percentage terms, an increase of 108,000 people in annual terms and 1,479 people per month in quantitative terms.

The number of legal entities in percentage terms for the year increased by 11.8% against Jan-Apr 2022, but decreased by 0.8% compared with the previous month, increasing by 14,214 companies a year versus 1,200 companies per month compared with the same period of 2022.
