MP: Bill on Pawnshops under pressure

"There is a certain pressure on the Bill on Pawnshops. They don't want us to adopt this law," banks.az quotes MP Vahid Ahmadov as saying this at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

"I understand that the interests regarding pawnshops are quite large. But the adoption of this law is very important. We don't even know the number of pawnshops. It is important to issue licenses to them, register them," Ahmadov said.
