Duties related to accounting of taxpayers also to be assigned to NBCO

Along with banks, non-bank credit organizations, as well as Azerpocht LLC, will be responsible for accounting of taxpayers in Azerbaijan. 

banks.az reports that this is stated in the proposed draft amendments to the Tax Code.

For example, according to the relevant draft law, legal entities whose state registration is carried out by tax authorities, as well as representative offices and branches of foreign commercial legal entities, together with an application for state registration or at any time after registration, and other taxpayers, having received a certificate of registration, along with banks, will submit to the tax authority an application for opening an account at the NBCO and the national postal operator.
