Forecast: US dollar to rise in price

Strategists from global investment bank Goldman Sachs say that the US dollar will continue to grow in global markets in the coming period, as other global central banks are struggling to keep up with the increase in the discount rate by the US Central Bank (Fed).

banks.az reports that strategists, noting that markets are still sensitive to weak data on economic growth and inflation, emphasize that "we expect the dollar's growth to be more volatile and lower than last year".

On the other hand, the bank supports its forecast that the US economy can avoid recession.
