Investment in Azerbaijani economy down 8%

In 2021, Azerbaijan invested 16.127 billion manats in fixed capital (8.2% less than 2020), banks.az mentions, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 5.6% and in the non-oil and gas sector - by 9.6%.

Among the last year's investments, 10.536 billion manats or 65.3% was made in production, 4.560 billion manats or 28.3% in services, 1.029 billion manats or 6.4% in the construction of houses.

11.794 billion manats (73%) of the funds directed to fixed capital were domestic funds, 11.015 (68.3%) were spent on construction and installation work.

The share of enterprises and organizations in the total value of funds directed to fixed capital was 54.7%, budget funds 25.7%, other funds 7.5%, personal funds 6%, and bank loans 6.1%.
