Public confidence to banks has grown

Population's bank deposits increased by AZN 367.3 million up to AZN 11.225 bn this September.

banks.az reports with reference to the Central Bank that last month, deposits in the national currency increased by AZN 275.6 million up to AZN 6.8 bn. In September, population's bank deposits in foreign currency grew by AZN 91.8 million up to AZN 4.4 bn.

Out of AZN 11.225 bn - 60.8% of all deposits in the national currency, 39.3% of all deposits of the population in foreign currency.

In September, deposits of residents increased by AZN 289.4 million and deposits of non-residents by AZN 77.9 million.

Of the deposits of individuals, AZN 5.247 bn were current accounts (indefinite deposits) and AZN 5.978 bn - term deposits. In September, current deposits increased by AZN 285.2 million.
