The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the central executive power body carrying out the state financial policy and organizing the management of state finance. The Ministry operates on the basis of Statute approved by Decree 48 of February 9, 2009 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Decree approved the Ministry’s structure and statutes of State Treasury Agency, Public Debt Management Agency, State Financial Control Service, State Insurance Control Service and State Service for Control on Precious Metals and Stones, which are included in the structure of the Ministry. The system of the Ministry of Finance consists of the Ministry’s apparatus, State Treasury Agency, Public Debt Management Agency, State Financial Control Service, State Insurance Control Service, State Service for Control on Precious Metals and Stones, local departments and other subordinate institutions of the Ministry and the Ministry of Finance of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchyvan. According to Decision 55 of April 6, 2010 of the Cabinet of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Financial Science and Education Center, Data Centre and ‘Finance and Accounting Magazine Editorial Office’ LLC are the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Finance not included in its structure.
