10 banks support Apple Pay and 8 ones - Google Pay in Azerbaijan

According to research for 2021, 95% of passengers in Azerbaijan want to use contactless payments, banks.az reports, citing Visa card organization’s manager for Azerbaijan Nurlan Hajiyev as saying this at a conference in Baku.

"Turnstiles for contactless payment are installed at 14 railway stations in Azerbaijan. Currently, 10 banks in the country support Apple Pay, and 8 support Google Pay, and their number will gradually increase," the Visa rep emphasized.
