Central Bank raised the discount rate

The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has decided to increase the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points - from 7.25% to 7.5%.

banks.az reports that the lower threshold of the percentage corridor remained at 6%, the upper one was raised from 8.25% to 9%.

On 17 December 2021, by the decision of the CBA board, the discount rate was increased from 7% to 7.25%. The lower limit of the percentage corridor is set at 6%, and the upper limit at 8.25%.
