EBRD's active portfolio in Azerbaijan published

The portfolio of EBRD assets in Azerbaijan amounted to 814 million euro (including unpaid liabilities). This figure decreased by 3.3%, or 28 million euro, compared to the last figure presented by the bank (June 20). And the number of projects decreased from 34 to 33.

banks.az reports with reference to the EBRD that 88% of the portfolio (716 million euro) consists of investments in sustainable infrastructure, 8% (67 million euro) – investments in industry, trade and agribusiness, 4% (31 million euro) – investments in financial institutions. The volume of bank's operating assets in the country decreased by 1.8% to 741 million euro.

Thus, the EBRD has invested 3.513 bn euro in Azerbaijan within 181 projects to date, and 86.4% of this volume (3.037 bn euro) has already been used by borrowers. 12% of the total investment accounted for the private sector.
