Loans at lowest interest rates given in Baku

As of May 1, 2025, the average annual interest rate on loans given in Azerbaijan was 13.54%.

banks.az reports that the relevant data is shown in Central Bank's table "Credit investments by region".

The total loan amount is 28.96 billion manats. But in some economic areas, these figures vary markedly in both amount and percentage.

The lowest interest rates in Azerbaijan are given in the Baku Economic Region.

The average annual interest rate on loans given in this region was 12.19%. At the same time, the largest part of loans given in the country is concentrated in this region - 21.495 billion manats. Loans at the lowest interest rates are provided in Nakhchivan Economic Region.

The average annual interest rate on loans here is 14.74%. The loan amount is 430.693 million manats.

The annual interest rate on loans given in the Absheron-Khizi Economic Region is 16.07%. Loans in the amount of 1.133 billion manats have been given in this region.

This is followed by the Eastern Zangezur Economic Region. The interest rate on loans given here is 16.94%, and the amount of loans is 10.848 million manats.

The interest rate on loans given in the Ganja-Dashkesan Economic Region is 17.31%, and the total loan amount is 835.449 million manats. This indicator shows that even in this region, credit conditions are higher than the national average (13.54%), but more favorable than in other regions.
