Number of payment cards reached 13.49 million cards for January

The number of payment cards in circulation in the banking system at the end of January increased by 231,000 cards (versus the previous month) up to 13.49 million cards.

banks.az reports that according to the CBA, this indicator rose by 19.7% compared with January 2022.

The growth of payment cards was 18.3% on debit cards and 28.8% on credit cards. The quantity of salary cards increased by 157,000, credit cards by 414,000, and other cards by 1.6 million cards compared with January 2022.
