Non-cash payments increased by 67% for past 9 months

The non-cash transactions within Azerbaijan have increased by 67% this year compared with Jan-Sept 2020.

banks.az reports with reference to the Central Bank that over Jan-Sept 2021 the non-cash payments by cards totaled AZN 7.218 bn. AZN 3.988 bn of the non-cash payments accounted for e-commerce. Of the remaining amount, operations for AZN 2.771 bn were conducted through POS terminals and for AZN 455 million through cash machines (ATMs).

The non-cash domestic transactions with payment cards in September made up 27.8% of the total volume of transactions.
